Happy Monday everyone! How are we halfway through September already? It’s going crazy fast, but I’m loving all this cooler weather as autumn is my favourite season and it’s been nice to be safely back in a jumper for the foreseeable future.
I hope you’ve all had a cracking week and a restful weekend and are ready to kickstart this new one!
Here is everything I was loving last week.
This week is the start of my collaboration with Hello Fresh and I could not be more excited to work with them. Jordan and I went for the 3 meal a week option and had some incredible meals so far including a tofu stir fry, lentil dal and a tomato and mozzarella pasta.
This week we got our engagement photos back from my very talented friend Adel who took them a couple of weeks ago. I’m not the most comfortable getting my picture taken, but I really love some of the ones she took and I’ve sent a couple off to be printed already. It’s really lovely to have some nice photos of Jordan and I as we don’t have that many!
I was in London for work on Tuesday to be briefed on a couple of big projects and it was a really great and productive day. Going to the capital and back in a day always tires me out but I really do love going down to see my team and always feel so energised when I get back to my office.
Whilst I was in London, I picked up a copy of Stylist magazine, which I used to read on my commute into Manchester. It’s such a great magazine and reminded me how much I like having a hard copy of one. It also made my train journey home go that little bit quicker!
The lovely team at Daisy London got in touch with me this week about sending a piece of jewellery from their Chakra range. I went for the healing stone and Chakra necklace that you can find on their necklaces page. It has healing properties and is two separate necklaces with a gorgeous turquoise pendant. I wore it over the weekend and had a couple of compliments on it too.
This week I took myself out of the office on lunch and cycled to meet a friend for lunch at a restaurant called Vida in Sale. I’d never been before but it was lovely and the lunch offering was amazing. I ended up going for a bruschetta and a goats cheese salad which had candied walnuts – my fave – and it was all delicious. I’ll definitely be heading back there.
In a couple of weeks time, I’ll be heading to the Northern Blog Awards at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. I’ve been really looking forward to this day for over a year as I missed the last one due to the fact I was at a wedding, so I really can’t wait for this time around. I bought my dress earlier in the week from ASOS and I love it!
This weekend I had my friend Lauren to stay from Edinburgh. We used to work together and have been friends for a couple of years, but this is the first time she had stayed with me and seen the house and it was lovely to host her. We had a jam-packed weekend and I already can’t wait for the next visit.
One of the things I wanted to mention on here that we got up to was the Gin Society festival at Manchester Cathedral on Saturday evening. I’ve been to a few gin festivals in the past, but this one stood out because the venue was amazing.
On Sunday, Lauren and I and another friend went for a spa day at Mottram Hall. We’d had it planned in for a while and were all really looking forward to it, and it didn’t disappoint. I went for a revitalising foot scrub and a back massage, and both treatments were amazing. The pool and sauna areas were lovely too and it was nice to have a break after a hectic week.
What have you been loving?
