Happy Monday everyone, it’s that day of the week ago!
This week has really started to feel like autumn, which I’m actually really excited for as it’s my favourite time of the year, and dare I say the C word… Christmas is just around the corner.
Here is everything I was lovely last week.
On Monday evening, my lovely friend Lily came to ours for dinner and drinks. It was nice to catch up on everything that’s happening in her life over a few glasses of gin and some halo top ice cream!
I used my Move GB app again to book onto a clubbercise class at a local gym with my friend Keeley. I was a bit reluctant at first, but I absolutely loved it. The whole class was done in the gym with no lights except disco ones, and you use glowsticks throughout. The music was a mix of 90s and current tracks, and it was such a fun way to work out.
My lovely friend Emma came round on Wednesday evening to give me my makeup trial for the big day (which is only 7 months away ahhh when did that happen?) We went for a natural, gold look, with a pinky red lip and I loved it – I can’t wait for her to do it on my wedding day as she made me feel so relaxed as she’s not a stranger.
This week I’ve actually been wearing… JUMPERS! I love autumn fashion, especially chunky knits and jeans, and this week it felt good to crack out my winter wardrobe. I also can’t wait to get to the shops and pick up some new bits – I’ve already got a few items saved in my basket on ASOS.
I was lucky enough to see my favourite band, Arctic Monkeys at the area on Thursday night, and they were incredible. It’s the 4th time I’ve seen them now, and they played a good mix of their old classics and some of their new album. It was such a good show that I tried to find tickets for the Friday night too!
I mentioned in my last Weekly Love post that I went for a bike ride by myself on Sunday afternoon and I loved it, so I managed to convince Jordan to come with my on Friday evening. We went up to Chorlton Water Park, down the River Mersey and through Didsbury before making our way back home – it felt good to be out in the open as working from home can mean you don’t leave the house for a couple of days sometimes!
I’ve been working for Cancer Research for a couple of months now, and I was lucky enough to volunteer at their Relay For Life event in York on Saturday. The event is a continuous 24-hour relay walk around the track all in aid of the charity. It was pouring with rain, but no one’s spirits were dampened.
Jordan and I went to The Courthouse in Knutsford to try their Mad Hatter’s afternoon tea on Sunday afternoon, which is my favourite time for a brew and some cakes. One of the waiters showed us around and taught us about the history of the building which was really interesting and the food was lovely.
After we had the afternoon tea, we drove to my cousin’s house to see her and my Nan. We caught up on Bake Off and put the world to right. Her daughter has just started secondary school too, which was really fun to hear about.
Jordan had a MacMillan coffee morning at work this week, so practised his bake and make blondies in the week, which we managed to finish in about 2 days – it really made me want to start baking more now that the nights are drawing in.
What have you been loving this week?
