Happy Monday everyone – I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend and are getting ready for autumn, which is officially upon us. It’s probably my favourite season (if not then definitely joint with summer after everything I’ve been up to this year) and I’m excited to channel some real hygge vibes this year and life my best cosy life.
But before all that, here is everything I was loving last week.
On Monday afternoon, I had an hour to kill before Jordan got home from work so I decided to put some pictures on the wall of my office which have been on the floor for quite a few weeks now. They were all in different frames as I really like the effect it gives, and I’m really happy with the finished product.
I’m a huge fan of The Anna Edit‘s blog and I’ve been following her for years, so when she announced that she has written a book all about streamlining your life, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and pre-ordered it as soon as I could – I can’t wait for January when it’s released!
Speaking of books, this week I started Zadie Smith’s ‘White Teeth’ and I’m really liking it already. I took it away with me and managed to get through quite a lot whilst we were travelling about here and there. I’m really getting back into reading now the crazy summer is over and I can’t wait to curl up with a good book now the nights are drawing in.
If you follow me on social media, then you might have spotted that this week Jordan and I went to Croatia with Tui, and it was so incredible and one of the best holidays I’ve ever been on. We spent the first three days in Split and it was simply stunning. I’ll be writing up all about our trip in the next few weeks so be sure to check back for that.
The next leg of our trip was spent in Dubrovnik which was similar but also really different to Split. We stayed just outside of the Old Town, which was like stepping back in time. I would go back in a heartbeat.
As part of my collaboration with The Saucy Fish Co, I’m creating my own brunch dish using their product and on Sunday, Jordan and I treated ourselves to it after a very late flight back to Manchester on Saturday evening. I won’t give away what we made as I’ll be doing a whole post about it.
A Sunday well spent brings a week of content, or so they say… and I feel as though I did just that. It always feels a bit of a rush when you only have a day to get everything sorted before you go back to work, but I feel ready for getting back to the daily grind and a routine.
I ordered a couple of photos from our engagement shoot last week as I had some spare frames and there were some that I really loved and they arrived whilst we were away. I really enjoyed putting them up in the house and reliving the fun we had on the shoot – the countdown is really on!
What were you loving last week?
