Weekly Love #59

Can we just take a moment to acknowledge that February ends on Wednesday? Just how?!

But anyway…

If you’ve been anywhere near my social media this week, you’ll know that I haven’t had the best few days, but this weekend has put me in a much better mood and I’m ready to start the week off with a much more positive mindset!

But there were still some things that made me smile along the way.

Sweet Potato Curry

Jordan whipped up an amazing sweet potato curry on Monday night, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. Since trying to eat a lot more vegetarian food, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find as many options out there, but this proved me wrong and I can’t wait to make it again.

Friend Catch Up

On Wednesday evening, I had a couple of my friends over who I used to work with for a catch-up over chilli and red wine. It was the first time the three of us had been together for almost a year, so it was a really lovely evening – just what I needed.

Crazy Pedros

I was really craving pizza on Friday evening (more so that normal!) so Jordan and I decided to treat ourselves to happy hour at Crazy Pedros in the Northern Quarter. We got a whole 16-inch pizza and two frozen cocktails for £18 – bargain!

Church Visit

We haven’t completed finalised where we’ll be getting married yet, but this weekend I took Jordan to a gorgeous chapel near to our venue which my Mum had recommended to see what he thought. It was a beautiful day and we even walked to the reception venue from it in the sunshine.

Saturday Night In

Saturday was the first day and evening in a long time that I hadn’t had any plans and it felt amazing to just chill out and watching Saturday night TV – Take Me Out and Saturday Night Takeaway were my choices.

Winter Walks

Taking advantage of the weather and done two lovely walks this weekend, one around Styal village and the other from our house into Didsbury. Although it was a very cold weekend, getting out in the fresh air did me a world of good.

Makers Market

After our walk into Didsbury, we went to the Makers Market to take advantage of all of the lovely stores on offer. I treated myself to a brownie and it was delicious – it definitely made the walk worthwhile!

Coffee Shop

Jordan met some friends on Sunday afternoon to watch the football, so I took advantage of having a couple of hours free and treated myself to a few bits from Primark, and worked for an hour from Foundation Coffee House.

Albert’s Chop House

We ended our Sunday by having a delicious three-course meal from Albert’s Chophouse in Albert Square. The food was divine, and I have a whole blog post coming about our time there.

Let me know what you were loving last week!

xx

It’s food and crafts mainly. It’s in the car park of Withington Hospital on Burton Road.
I heard, I hope you’re ok. I will come and visit soon 🙂 xxx
