Five Minute Blog Post // The Big Day Is Here

And just like that, it’s my wedding day… can you believe it? The big day is finally here… I certainly can’t!

When Jordan asked me to marry him back in 2017, this day felt like it was so far away, but it has really crept up on us, and I can’t believe it’s finally here!

I’m writing this the day before the wedding, and right now I’m more excited than nervous, but I feel as though the nerves will be only natural tomorrow, and nothing that a glass of bucks fizz (or two) can’t sort out.

I’m so excited to see people who I haven’t seen in months, and those who have flown from the other side of the world to be with us on our special day. To me the wedding is about bringing our nearest and dearest together and I am so grateful that people have made us feel so loved, even before the big day.

Today is my last day of being a ‘Dixon-Smith’ and although I’ve written before about why I wanted to change my name, it does feel like it’s the end of an era, but also the start of an exciting new chapter, with new family members and becoming more of a team with Jordan more than ever.

Weddings are a time of such happiness and joy, but also there is a part of me that is sad there won’t be such key people there, but I know they’ll be looking down on us and sending lots of love our way.

I’ve absolutely loved planning the wedding, and I can’t wait to see everything come together. We’ve been so lucky with all the suppliers we’ve used and I know they are going to do me proud!

My blog has really taken a backseat in the past couple of months as we’ve been organising everything, and although I’ve missed it, it’s been nice to focus on something else, but I am looking forward to sharing some snaps from our big day and talk about it in more detail.
