Happy December everyone! Can you believe it? I for one, really can’t get over how fast this whole year has gone, but I am SO excited for everything to come in 2019.
2018 has been one of my favourite years so far, and it’s down to the incredible support network I have around me. I have some really exciting plans for next year and I can’t wait to get on the way with them!
But for now, here is everything I was loving last week.
Jordan and I started the week at Manchester restaurant, Randall & Aubin which was a great Monday treat. If you go on a Monday too, you can bring your own bottle of wine for only a £5 corkage fee, which is great if you’re a wine lover. The food is amazing too, especially if you love fish. I wrote all about our experience here.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the World Duty Free event in Manchester with some of my favourite blogging girls and it was amazing. I picked up some lovely new makeup and skincare bits and included them in my Christmas Gift Guide if you were looking for some ideas.
I had a meeting in London our Friday to see our new office which is being built in Stratford in East London. It was a really cool experience to see the shell of the building which I’ll be working in, in the future and the area is really lovely with loads of bars and restaurants about. It’s opposite the Olympic stadium too!
After London on Friday, Jordan and I drove to see my cousins and my Mum in a village just outside of Chester. We had dinner with them and played with their puppy, and it was a lovely way to end a very busy working week. Family time is always my favourite!
This week for some reason I decided to pick up my camera and weekly vlog. I’m not sure why I decided to do it, but I really enjoyed it, and I hope to be doing it more in the new year. It’s quite daunting to do it in public, and I don’t know how vloggers remember to do it all the time because I kept forgetting to film!
My lovely friend Danielle is the founder of Kiht Collective, and this Saturday they had a sensory yoga event at V1be in Manchester. I used to do yoga all the time but this one was different as it tapped into all of the senses, and the teacher, Sarah, was so lovely. I was really achey afterwards but I really enjoyed it and I will definitely be signing up to some classes at my gym.
My friend Siobhan and her husband host an annual cheese and wine night at their home, and this year it was the first in the house they have just bought. It’s always such a good spread and it really feels as though the festive season has kicked off when we’re there.
Jordan and I went for a walk on Sunday morning which is something we’re trying to do on a weekly basis, but this weekend we decided to head out for some food too. We went to a new place in our local village and I went for pancakes with berry compote and syrup and it was delicious!
The rest of Sunday was spent browsing the shops for some decorations and Christmas presents. I wish I’d been more organised this year, but it was still good to get some of them out of the way. I can’t believe the big day is just over three weeks away!
What were you loving last week?
