Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend enjoying the autumn sunshine, and that your week ahead is a good and productive one.
As you may know, if you follow me on Instagram, I spent last weekend in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, which I’ll be sharing my thoughts on later this month.
Here is everything that put a smile on my face last week.
Over the weekend, I finished off my book, so decided to spend a bit of time researching ones that I think I would enjoy reading, as it helps me to switch off before bed. I ordered some titles on Amazon, and I’m considering doing a round-up of the books I read every so often on here – let me know if that is something you would enjoy.
I was in London for work on Tuesday and had such a productive day filming one of our directors for a new project. I like to think I know my way around a camera for taking photos, but filming someone and making sure the sound quality was ok is another kettle of fish. I was sent the final edit towards the end of last week and it looks great so I’m really proud of me and my team.
As I was in London already, I met up for dinner with my friend Erin who lives there. I wandered to her office as I finished a little bit before her and really enjoyed people watching during their busy commute home. We went for dinner at Pizza Pilgrims in Kingley Court and it was such a lovely evening that we sat outside – the pizzas were amazing too!
Speaking of pizza, I had a few friends round midweek to make homemade pizzas and generally catch up. My friend Sophie made the dough and we had a toppings section, washed down by lots of gin and desserts. It was a really lovely pick-me-up in the middle of the week, and the pizzas were so tasty – definitely one I want to try again.
We are collecting gin bottles for centrepieces at our wedding, and after having our friends over, we managed to get a few more. My friends have been great too with giving them too us (just hoping I’m not encouraging alcoholism…) and I’m really impressed with how many we’ve got so far!
I wanted a thicker jumper to go away at the weekend with, so I decided to treat myself to a bright pink one from ASOS (and a pair of shoes… oops!) and it was such a lovely, snuggly fit that I want more. I really really love autumn fashion and I think this is one I’ll wear for a long time.
This week was the return of The Apprentice, which has been one of my favourite programs for years as is the best thing about staying in during the autumn months. I already have my favourites, and I can’t wait to see what else this series brings.
I spent this weekend in Copenhagen with my friend Lily, and I fell in love. It’s not often that a city really gets under my skin, but I definitely saw a lot of myself in it – the way of life was so chilled and relaxing, and the people were lovely – and the food offerings were brilliant – a reason to visit somewhere in itself, in my opinion.
What were you loving last week?
