And just like that, we’re officially in the second half of the year. How the hell did that happen?
June was definitely up there with one of my favourite months so far this year, but I’m hoping that July will be a slightly more chilled one as I feel like my body and mind need it.
Here is everything I’m wishing for this month.
1.Up My Skincare Routine
This last month with being away quite a bit and not having loads of time to put into my skincare routine has definitely seen my skin suffer the most it has since winter. I’ve decided that this month is going to be the month that I invest in some decent products are really put more effort into what I put on my face.
2. Appreciate The Weather
I’m going to the awfully British thing of talking about the weather, but how bloody amazing has it been this past couple of weeks? I feel as though I haven’t taken full advantage of it, so I definitely want to this month. Long may it continue!
3. Enjoy A Chilled Holiday
Next week I’ll be hopping on a plane to Sardinia with my friend Emily for a girl’s holiday. Everyone I’ve spoken to has said that Sardinia is stunning and I can’t wait to give it a go and have a chilled holiday without a packed itinerary. If you have any recommendations then please let me know!
4. Improve My Cricket Knowledge
A group of us are going to watch the T20 cricket in a couple of weeks, which is something I’ve never done before, but if it involves day drinking then I am there! We’re going to watching Lancashire vs. Derbyshire at Emirates Old Trafford and I’m really looking forward to learning more about the sport. I’ve also heard the T20 is the one to watch if, like me, you have no idea about cricket!
5. Discover New Bands
It isn’t set in stone yet, but hopefully this month I will be going to Blue Dot festival with two of my good friends, Lily and Erin, and I can’t wait. Blue Dot has always been a festival I’ve really wanted to go to, but it always clashes with something else so I’m excited to go as not only is it about the music, but there are also talks throughout the weekend which seem really interesting.
6. Sample New Restaurants
This month I’ve got a couple of reviews booked in to sample the new summer menus at restaurants in and around Manchester, which I can’t wait for. The food scene in the city is definitely the best it has been for a while and I hope it continues because I am loving it!
7. Try My New Mattress
This month is a really exciting start to my collaboration with Leesa mattresses and I can’t wait until mine is delivered in the next few days. I’ll be doing a full review once I’ve had it for a month so keep an eye out for it!
8. Prepare For Bongo Bingo
I feel like I have to put this one in there as it’ll probably take a few days to prepare for Bongo Bingo. If you aren’t sure what it is, it’s basically a game of bingo which includes A LOT of alcohol and games along the way. I’m going at the end of the month with my friends from work and it should be a really fun night!
9. Try My Wedding Makeup
The love Emma from Cheshire Bridal Makeup will be doing my wedding makeup trial this month, and if her Instagram is anything to go by, then I’m in for a treat! I haven’t fully decided what look I want to go for, but I’m thinking golds, nudes and maybe a pinky lip.
10. Enjoy More Home Cooking
I haven’t been the best at making food at home this month, and with it being my birthday and being away so much, my diet is definitely not the best it has been in a while. I’m hoping in July I can put my cookbooks to good use and start preparing some more home cooked meals and get back on the healthy eating bandwagon.
And that is everything I’m wishing for in July.
