As we find ourselves stuck indoors for a lot more of the time these days, I thought I would pull together a list of things you can do to pass some of the time.
–
Date night – what better way to pass some time than getting dressed up and cooking for your loved one
Movie night – why not go one step further and rent one of the latest films or choose something random on Netflix – get your friends involved too on Zoom
House party – not quite the ones that we’re used to, but by downloading the House Party app, you can keep in touch virtually with your friends and even play games!
Do up the garden – I know this one may not be up everyone’s street, but why not put some time into doing up your outside space. Most garden centres remain open too!
B&M haul – take £5 – £10 each with your partner or housemates, head on down to B&M and see what you can pick up!
Themed nights – so far we’ve made sushi, tacos and a Lebanese feast with drinks to accompany them
Cocktail making class – get your friends on zoom and make up your own cocktails for the evening – you could even have a prize for the best one
Start a book club – into reading? Now is the perfect chance to get your friends together and read the same book at the same time
Learn a new card game – remember how much fun you had growing up with card games? Why not rediscover some of the ones you loved, or even better, learn a new one!
Take up a new workout – I’ve been loving doing Courtney Black’s at home workouts as well as Les Mills. Whilst the gyms are closed, this is a great option to get moving
Do up the house – I’ve already painted a room, but there is definitely something to be said for the satisfaction of getting odd jobs done around your home
Table tennis – we bought a cheap table tennis kit off Amazon and used our dining table for the game!
De-clutter your wardrobe – we all know we have clothes we no longer wear! Why not put a few bags aside to give to the charity shops once they open back up
Get out in nature – although we can only go out for one walk a day, I would highly recommend taking the full hour to get out and explore nature
Journal – we’ve never been through anything like this before in our lifetime, so getting your thoughts down can really help to process what’s going on
Learn a language – I read the other day that downloads of Duo Lingo were up over 60% whilst we’ve been stuck indoors – so why not give it a go?
Watch a music show – have a favourite band? Why not watch one of their live shows and pretend you’re at the real thing until we can get back!
Get creative – what better way to pass the time that with being creative. Why not try a Sculpd clay making set or a Painting by Numbers kit?

I hope these suggestions have given you some inspiration of how to pass the time. Let me know if you have any of your own too as I’d love to try some more!
