Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are doing well and enjoying the beautiful crisp winter days that we’ve been having!
I have a bit of an announcement when it comes to Weekly Love posts, but more on that will come in the next couple of weeks before 2019… can you believe it though that this year is ending so fast? It’s crazy that Christmas will be here in 8 days!
Here is everything I was loving last week – so many food-related ones….
One of my immediate team were ill when we had our department Christmas party in London at the start of the month so we made it up by having a team lunch this week. We went for some yummy sushi and finished it off with cupcakes from The Hummingbird Bakery – so yummy!
Whilst I was in London this week, I caught up with an old friend who has been living in California for a couple of years, and it’s been that long since we’ve seen each other. We met by Kings Cross and went for a couple of drinks around there and it was like no time had passed!
My lovely friend Danielle hosted a few of my blogging friends on Thursday evening at her beautiful Christmassy house on Thursday evening and it was such a fun night. We drank prosecco, had lovely food and caught up properly with everyone. I’m so thankful for the group of girls I have through blogging – they’re all amazing!
On Friday evening, some of the girls in my family went for a Turkish meal in Stockton Heath which was so much fun. The food was lovely, but the company was even better and its always times like this that make me appreciate my family so much. They really are the most important people in my life.
We had a meeting with our venue dresser on Saturday morning at where we are getting married, and it was really lovely to see the venue dressed up for a winter wedding that was happening that day. We went through everything with her and I feel a lot less stressed leading up to the big day as she is such a pro. Less than 4 months to go!!
Meeting My Friend’s Kitten
We went for a brew and to drop a Christmas card off at my friend’s house on Saturday afternoon, but really we wanted to see her beautiful new Bengal kitten called Acer. She was absolutely adorable and I couldn’t believe that our two were ever that small.
It was my best girl, Jacinta’s, birthday on Saturday evening, so we all went to hers for bubbles and brownies (delicious!) and headed into town for pizza. It was such a fabulous group of girls who all get on so well and always lovely to celebrate with your nearest and dearest.
I FINALLY FINISHED MY WRAPPING! It was such a relief as my office was getting a bit too manic for my liking, but now it’s done, I know I can relax. I do really enjoy wrapping presents, but this year I’ve left it quite late for me, so I am so happy it’s all done and I can start to drop everything off!
We had a friend-mas on Sunday evening with some of our closest friends which was lovely. We didn’t do a traditional roast, but instead had some picky bits with pigs in blankets, which are the best part of any festive meal! It’s something we try and do every year and was great to see everyone before the big day.
What were you loving last week?
